Akai puts out 2 new MPC’s
#Akai puts out 2 new MPC’s
So Last monday we got the the news that Akai Pro was not only releasing one but 2 different MPC’s. If you follow me you know I started on the MPC 6o and made that my work horse for a long time.
What you may not know is that I was against the transition into computer beat making for years. So while everyone else was fruity looping I was still happy on my MPC 2000.
How I made the transition was I saw a video of Notz Raw on a Native Instruments Maschine and couldnt believe it how the beat sounded.
So I took the plunge and never looked back. That was in 2009. I was so lokked in I bought a MPC REN in 2013 and left it in the box until summer of 2016. Thats right, I never cared anything about it until this past summer. Thats when you started seeing me go crazy mking all these vids on IG mean while MPC Touch came out.and the venom began. OOoooh I thought Im never buying that. Im still rocking my Maschine. I just got on my MPC REN Im never buying a touch screen beat maschine its all about money and I need to make some pronto!
Now its monday Jan 9th 2016 and I see all these links on my FB page of this new MPC. Still there is know way Im buying into the marketing nonsence. It cant do nothing I dont have.. NOPE Now way! I have everything I need..
Until finaly a week later I thought. this has come full circle. I talked to my boy Tone about it. The MPC Live has everything I wanted out of my MPC 2000. And that is portability..
$1100 worth of portable beat making…. Damn Here I come AKAI!
